When I set out to create my own arched magnetic board, I knew I wanted to infuse my space with that same sense of whimsy. Using a piece of plywood as the base and a magnetic sheet for functionality, I crafted a simple yet stylish board that’s perfect for organizing notes, memos, and more. So, how exactly do you make an arched magnetic board? It’s easier than you might think! How to DIY an Arched Magnetic Board

1. Cut the plywood

Cut the plywood sheet to your desired size using a saw.

2. Apply adhesive

Apply adhesive to the surface of the plywood and attach the magnetic sheet, ensuring it is smooth and free of wrinkles. Let this dry completely.  

3. Secure one end of a string to the center of the plywood

Secure one end of a string to the center of the plywood, directly in line with there you’d like your arch to end.

Then pull the string taut and loop it over a pencil at the desired height of the arch. Keeping the string taut, gently trace the curve onto the plywood, ensuring a smooth and symmetrical shape. 

4. cut an arched shape

Use a jigsaw or circular saw to cut an arched shape at the top of the plywood, following the line you drew.

Sand the edges of the plywood smooth to remove any roughness or splinters.

Clean the surface of the plywood to remove any dust or debris.

5. Apply a coat of spray paint primer

Apply a coat of spray paint primer to the magnetic sheet side of your DIY, covering the entire surface evenly.

Allow the paint to dry completely before applying your colored spray paint. Let the paint dry completely between coats, if desired.

6. attach mounting hardware

Once the paint is dry, attach mounting hardware to the back of the plywood. 

7. Hang the arched magnetic board

Hang the arched magnetic board on the wall using picture hangers or Command strips.

Add decorative magnets and enjoy your new organizational and decorative piece!
